Rex Murphy: Maybe CHAZistan will give Canada a seat

Canada certainly missed the UN Security Council, however, CHAZistan’s Raz (rapper/warlord) offered Canada a seat on the New State Tofu and Agriculture Oversight Planning and Meditation Board. There are limits to our presence in the republic of six city blocks. Canada will have no veto rights.

It should be noted that it is clearly not the same as sitting next to the great powers of the UN, but there are some privileges. For example, the Canadian representative will contribute to what is shown at the movie night, be asked for advice on the best way to “personify” the barriers that surround the state, and will have the opportunity to participate in the various discussions on whether the Topsoil layer should go on or under the grass.

There is no doubt that Trudeau has wasted much time and much more money in a futile attempt to join a morally bankrupt institution. And it has wasted relations with other countries by silencing Canada’s voice on other issues, particularly China’s role in the current pandemic.

Not everything is so bad

It has been said that at best, the seat on the UN Security Council was sought as a kind of “trinket”, a kind of masterpiece to allow Trudeau to claim his superiority over the Harper administration. Likewise, it is true that his strange symbols in India, when carrying out foreign relations with a great democracy as a Bollywood production, did not want it for the adults of the world.

In addition, after that, there are more recent events at home, which obviously reached the eyes and ears of other countries. And it is that his random youths in blackface did not convey an impression of sophistication and maturity that those who seek to sit on the panels of the world usually bring to that search.

Now, in the current moment where the bet that was destined to shore up the international position has become a humiliation. The major problems that were at the forefront of the national agenda before the pandemic, especially the deadly threat facing the oil and gas industry and Western disenchantment with the Confederacy, remain neglected.

And in the meantime, Trudeau continues his administration at home, and with striking self-isolation, he can still take a break and join a crowd of thousands if he believes that another photoshoot and gesture will make his ever-smaller fans faint.
