'Giving is like a drug': Hamilton couple pledge bulk of their estate to create $100-million health research endowment

For the couple, Charlie and his wife Margaret “Giving is like a drug”. In fact, the couple commits to the majority of their assets to create a $ 100 million endowment for health research. For his part, Rob MacIsaac, who is the president and CEO of Hamilton Health Sciences, “With Charles and Margaret, it has been a lifetime of generosity”, he added, “They have been very effective at making a difference in Hamilton”.
