The beginning of a genuine peace forges new relationships and revives ties | National Post

It has been said that the true Arab Spring is the beginning of a genuine peace with Israel. In fact, peace, as well as the normalization of relations between Israel, the Arab and Muslim world, have developed at a really significant rate. It has been to such a point that due to this, new relationships have been forged and the old and inactive ties have been revived.

It should be noted that the Saudis, as well as the Israelis, are gravely concerned about Tehran’s expansionist efforts. This in itself is to obtain hegemony in the Middle East and its direct participation in the promotion of the Assad regime in Syria. In addition to its encouragement of violence in Iraq and rebels who support the struggle in Yemen and terrorist groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas of Lebanon and Islamic Jihad in Gaza.

New relationships and re-invigoration of old and inactive links

New relationships are already notorious as well as the revival of links that are old as well as those that have been inactive. In fact, many countries in the Arab world are cooperating with Israel on security and defense issues. In addition to this, Israel’s growing high-tech industry.

In spite of all this, many mass media affirm that Israel is “isolated”. But in reality, these journalists are simply separated from reality.

Among the important visits could be mentioned the visit that was given last week, by the President of Chad, Idriss Déby. He visited Israel and tried to reestablish ties and relations with the Jewish state. Chad is one of the first Muslim-African majority states to restore diplomatic relations with Jerusalem.

Similarly, it has been speculated that Israel plans to establish links with the Muslim majority countries of Sudan, Mali and Niger.

On the other hand, the Minister of Economy of Israel, Eli Cohen, received an official invitation to attend a conference in Bahrain next year. In fact, it is considered that Israel is working to normalize ties and sign a peace treaty with that Gulf nation.
