GOLDSTEIN: Time for Trudeau to ditch blame game

I have a New Year’s resolution for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Trudeau isn’t the first politician to blame opponents and predecessors for problems he or she faces, nor for the opposition parties and premiers to blame him for problems he inherited. But Trudeau has turned blaming others into an art form, even for messes of his own creation.

Here’s another blaming the opposition for Trudeau’s self-inflicted WE wounds

Last year, there was Trudeau’s bizarre excuse for why he didn’t know blackface was racist as a 29-year-old teacher in Vancouver in 2001, apparently having missed the civil rights movement and decades of critical commentary condemning blackface as racist. «Justin Trudeau blames privileged upbringing for wearing blackface after third racist incident emerges,» Sept. «Trudeau blames ‘erosion of trust’ for SNC-Lavalin controversy, does not apologize,» March 7, 2019, NP.
