Adam Bighill has signed a three-year contract with the New Orleans Saints. In responding to the news, Wally Buono hit the nail on the head when he said, “I’m happy for Biggie and I’m sad for our fans and our organization." Bittersweet is my reaction.
Bighill was an amazing player to watch. He was not only elite, but he and Solomon Eliminian also formed the heart and soul of the BC Lions defense. From that stand point, it is very hard to see him go.
But, it's not like he went to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He's now a Saint, and playing in the NFL. That is an amazing accomplishment for an undersized linebacker. I'm excited to see how it goes.
