Less hours of work could improve various factors in people | Vancouver Sun

Working for so many hours is not very beneficial for people since they are more depleted and in some cases, their level of productivity is affected and likewise decreases. It is now reported that Canadians each year achieve up to 300 hours of work, which is much more than those working in Germany, the Netherlands and Norway. Likewise, in 2011 a study was carried out in which it was obtained that people in British Columbia between 24 and 45 years old, whether male or female, worked 40 hours more per week, the exact figures were 60% for men and 35% for women.

But it has been discovered that this is not really beneficial for people, however, because the costs involved in both child care and housing have accelerated much faster than the income received by young families. They have been forced to spend more time in the labor market, which should not be the case since they should actually choose to work fewer hours which would have great benefits for their happiness, as well as better health and family life.
