The Koch brothers are famous for being equal owners of Koch Industries, the second-largest private company in the United States. They are part of the wealthy Koch family. The brothers are David H. Koch and Charles G. Koch.
Koch Industries, Inc. is a conglomerate of US companies based in Wichita, whose owners are brothers Charles G. Koch and David H. Koch. The Koch Brothers, as they are popularly known, have an estimated fortune of 47.9 billion dollars each (2017). The company has numerous subsidiaries dedicated to manufacturing, commerce, and investments.

Undoubtedly, the news of David Koch’s death on Friday attracted many critics of the billionaire industrialist and his equally controversial brother, and some went to social media to receive the news.
A relevant effect in American politics
It is important to mention that The LGBT magazine The Advocate tweeted: “Ding Dong #David Koch”. Actor Ron Perlman added: “Wishing the Koch brothers a speedy reunion,” while progressive activist Ryan Knight tweeted that his death is a “great GAIN for the planet”.
In reference to this, it has been speculated that some of this were probably driven by the toxicity of US policy at this time. It is also considered to have its roots in some substance, and to the extent that Koch’s opponents and his brother Charles resent both their views and the significant impact these billionaires have had on the political life of the United States.
Certainly, there are rich liberals who exercise their own political power and influence. Billionaire George Soros, for example, is very politically active, runs study centers for the left and donates a lot of money to liberal causes.
But Jim Geraghrty, the chief political correspondent for the conservative National Review magazine, wrote that the difference between rich liberal activists like Soros and the Koch brothers is that they are better at achieving their goals and focusing on “long term and easily” corners overlooked by the government process, that is, state legislatures, local tax initiatives and political races that are not ‘sexy’”.
An important fact to note is that the brothers have differed with many conservatives on social issues, supporting gay rights, being pro-choice to abortion and opposing drug laws.
