Jackets play giant killer with historic sweep of Lightning

The Columbus Blue Jackets are a professional ice hockey team based in Columbus, Ohio. Likewise, they are members of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).

This team was founded as an expansion team in 2000. It should be noted that in its early years, the Blue Jackets had problems, not being able to win 30 games in one season until the 2005–06 season. Even so, the team qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in 2009 but was swept. However, Columbus finally achieved his first win in the playoffs in the 2014 playoffs and five years later he won his first playoff series in the 2019 playoffs against Tampa Bay Lightning, becoming the first team in the history of the NHL to win a trophy of presidents in the first round.
