The Denver Broncos are a professional American football franchise based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos compete as a member of the Western Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League (NFL). The team began playing in 1960 as a founding member of the American Football League (AFL) and joined the NFL as part of the merger in 1970. The Broncos are owned by Pat Bowlen Trust and currently play home games at the Broncos Stadium at Mile High. (formerly known as Invesco Field at Mile High from 2001–2010 and Sports Authority Field at Mile High 2011–2017). Before that, they played at Mile High Stadium from 1960 to 2000.

Now, the Broncos coach, Vic Fangio, forbids them music during practice, because he calls it ‘noise’

Thus, affirm, “There is no music in the games”.

Forbidden music until the final beep, key to the concentration

The long-time NFL assistant coach is in his first role as head coach. In fact, he was hired in January to replace Vance Joseph, who was fired after two losing seasons.

In this way, the new head coach, Vic Fangio, has banned music throughout the entire stretch before practice until the final whistle of the day. That being the case, consider that the Denver Broncos should be able to hear every whistle, every instruction, every blow during training camp.

“Anybody’s who has been a position coach, or assistant coach, they don’t like the music”, said Fangio, who turns 61 next month. “It makes it hard to talk to your guys. I don’t see the benefit of having music out there. I was an assistant coach and I don’t want to drum out the noise to talk to my players”.

Also, he said, “there’s no music in games”.

“When it goes to the point where we need to simulate crowd noise in practice, which we will do, it will be noise”, Fangio said. “It won’t be music. It will be noise. That’s what it is in the game. Noise by definition sounds annoying. Music sounds nice so if we have to deal with noise let’s deal with noise”.
